Panaji City Tourist Attractions

 

Panaji, the capital of Goa, has a magnetism of its own and it’s a wonderful place to visit.

 

There are many Panaji tourist attractions for those who love to be alongside with nature.

 

It is a little as well as beautiful town situated on the left side of the Mandovi River, with charming, red-enclosed residents, which are made in Latin model, brags of more and more latest homes, beautiful and well arranged gardens, sculpture and streets are creased with trees such as Accasia, Gulmohar, etc.

Most beautiful places in Panaji:


The main tourist attractions in the Panaji city are Church square or Public Garden which has designed in 1541by Portuguese. Panaji is the city which is designed by the beautiful and historical architecture and much more attractions in Panaji, India.

 

Adilashi Palace, one of the old and reconstructed mansions which have designed in the sixteenth century is become the most important tourist place in Panaji. The Panaji tourist attractions will offer the natural view of Panaji.

 

The Menezes Braganza Educational center and the Central libraries are shows the educational culture of the Panaji city. The Mahalaxmi temple and the Juma Masjid mosques are built in Panaji to show the religion cultures of people.


Cathedral of spotless Conception:


This tourist attraction in Panaji is located at the south part of the secretariat at Panaji. It was recognized in the year 1619. The color of the cathedral is white. It has high twin towers resembling the Portuguese decorative.

 

The bell fixed at the cathedral is the second largest in Goa. The bell was taken from the Augustinian monastery in elderly Goa. Some of the Portuguese invaders after capturing Goa changed the name of Panajim as Panaji or Ponji which means place that by no means gets overflowed.

 

After that the Portuguese changed the name of the place into Panajim.


Institute Menezes Braganza:


There are some Panaji Tourist attractions which attract only some visitors and are not of interest of all. This institute is situated at Dr.Pissurlenkar Road; Opposite Azad Maidan.

 

Tourists can visit this place on Monday to Friday at 930-1300, 1400-1745. It shows the painting by European artists of the 19th and20th century.

 

The questioning during the investigation is eye-catching furnishing kept at this institution.

 

The central library here has exceptional books and papers.
